Pastor and Staff
Bob and his wife Melanie were married in 1999 and have four children (Michela, Taelor, Ethan and Camryn). Bob was saved in 1983 at Bethel Baptist Church and surrendered to the ministry in 1993. He did most of his undergraduate work at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO and recieved his Bachelor's Degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 2003. He was ordained by Bethel Baptist Church in 2006. Bob has completed some graduate studies through the Baptist Bible Graduate School of Theology in Springfield, MO. He has served as the Chaplain for the Yukon Police Department since 2002. On January 20, 2008, the members of Bethel voted to call Bob as Pastor following Bro. Rick Bradford (Founder and Pastor of 30 years) retirement. He is also currently serves as the State Treasurer for the Oklahoma Baptist Bible Fellowship.
Bob's greatest hobby is hanging with his peeps (wife and kids).
A.J. and his wife Brooke have been with us since May of 2008. A.J. has serves as our Student Pastor and also our worship leader. He and his wife attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO.
Chad and his wife Lorissa moved to Oklahoma the first week in September from Grand Prairie, Texas. Chad is filling our newly created Children's Pastor position. He and his wife are the new parents of baby Jack. We are excited they are here!
Rick and his wife Peggy were married in 1962. Rick was saved in 1966 at the age of 27 and surrenderred to preach in 1972. He was ordained in 1974 by the Canadian Heights Baptist Church. He founded the Bethel Baptist Church in July of 1978 meeting in the Yukon Round-up Club. Rick and Peggy have two married children and 4 grandchildren. Rick enjoys playing golf and riding his motorcycle.
Under his leadership:
A church building was completed in 1981 with 6300 square feet. A 2000 square foot educational building was built in 1984. In 1986 a second story was added to the original building doubling the square footage. The educational building was converted in to the main office building of the church. In 2001, the Bradford Family Life Center was completed. This 7400 squre foot building is a multi-purpose activity building for fellowships, sports, festivals and dinners.
Retirement:
At the end of July of 2008, Bro. Rick retired and is enjoying spending time with his wife. He remains very active in the ministry of Bethel Baptist Church. Bro. Rick teaches the Pastor's Sunday School Class and leads Bethel's Biker Ministry.
